Marian's passion for music extends beyond the horizon of classical music and seeps into genres like jazz, pop, and other various styles of contemporary music. Following his instinctive interest in all of music, Marian became acquainted with instruments outside of his expertise. First and foremost as a clarinetist, he acquired professional proficiency with the main members of the clarinet family, namely the piccolo and bass clarinets, following performances and education of numerous staple works for the instruments, as well as exploring the possibilities of the so-called "historical" clarinets in his practice. After, he branched out to the world of the saxophone, for some, the closest "relative" to the clarinet. He currently actively performs on the soprano, alto, and tenor saxophones.

Marian never left his first instrument, the piano. While he rarely performs on the instrument, he actively uses it in his education and conducting practices.
